About the Department

Departmental Activities: Mock Classes taken by students of the Department.

The Department organizes Mock Classes that are taken by students. This practice enables students to engage more actively in the teaching learning process and also helps them overcome fear of public speaking. Students are encouraged to make these classes interactive and practice has also been seen to increase students’ understanding of topics that they are given to teach to their fellow students. Indeed, this can be considered to be one of the major best practices of this Department.

The Department has also conducted a 30 Hour Certificate Course as an Add - on Course on0 “Public Policy in India: Current Trends & Dimensions” from10.05.2023 – 17.05.2023 in order to ensure that students of the department remain abreast of the latest developments in the areas of study under their discipline. The course received a very positive response from the participants and the Department hopes to organize more such programmes in the future.

From the Desk of HOD

The Department has worked relentlessly to induce interest in the students regarding social sciences in general and Political Science in particular. The faculty are sincerely committed to ensuring that students take interest in and are serious about attending classes and remaining abreast of the syllabus, modalities of evaluation of the affiliating University and also developing a keen understanding of the theoretical and practical aspects of the discipline.
